Counter Coast respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, why we collect it, and the choices you have about your information.

Information We Collect

When you join our mailing list, you provide your first name, last name, email address, and date of birth. You may also choose to provide your phone number and separately opt in to receive text messages from us.

Our website also collects certain information automatically, such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, and how you interact with the site. This information is generally collected through cookies and similar technologies used to operate the website and understand how it is being used.

When online purchasing is available, we will also collect the information needed to process and fulfill your order, such as your billing and shipping information and transaction details. Payment information may be handled directly by our payment processor rather than stored by Counter Coast.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to communicate with you, provide information about our wines and releases, respond to questions, process and fulfill orders, operate and improve the website, prevent fraud or misuse, and comply with applicable laws.

Email and Text Communications

If you join our mailing list, we'll send you occasional emails about Counter Coast, including updates about the wines, releases, events, and availability. Every marketing email includes a link to unsubscribe.

Providing your phone number does not automatically sign you up for text messages. If you separately opt in to SMS communications, we may send you recurring text messages, including updates about our wines, releases, events, availability, orders, and other promotional or service-related information. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.

Your consent to receive text messages is voluntary and is not required to join our email list or purchase our wines. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text message or using an unsubscribe link where available.

We use Klaviyo to manage our email and SMS communications. Information provided in connection with SMS communications may be processed by Klaviyo and other service providers as necessary to deliver and manage those communications.

Cookies and Analytics

Our website is hosted by Squarespace, which uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and may provide us with information about how visitors use it. This can include information such as your IP address, browser or device, referring page, pages viewed, and interactions with the website.

We do not currently use Meta Pixel, Google advertising pixels, or similar technologies for targeted advertising.

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect how parts of the website work.

Service Providers

We use a small number of third-party services to operate Counter Coast online. Our website is hosted by Squarespace, and we use Klaviyo to manage our mailing list and optional SMS communications.

As the business grows, we may also use service providers for payment processing, shipping, order fulfillment, compliance, analytics, and other services necessary to operate the website and sell our wines. These companies may receive information needed to perform those services on our behalf.

Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

Counter Coast does not sell your personal information for money.

We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use third-party advertising pixels for targeted advertising.

We may provide information to service providers when necessary for them to perform services on our behalf, or when disclosure is required by law.

If these practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy.

Your Privacy Choices

You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time using the link included in each email. If you've opted in to text messages, you can opt out using the instructions included in those messages.

You may also contact us if you'd like to ask about the personal information we maintain about you or request that we correct or delete information you've provided, subject to applicable legal requirements and legitimate business needs.

Do Not Track

Some browsers allow you to send a "Do Not Track" signal when you visit a website. There is currently no universally accepted standard for responding to these signals, and our website may not respond to them.

As described above, we do not currently use third-party advertising pixels for targeted advertising.

Age

Counter Coast is an alcoholic beverage business. Our website and products are intended for people who are 21 or older.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If we learn that we have done so, we may delete that information.

We take reasonable measures to protect the personal information we maintain. However, no method of transmitting or storing information electronically can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
